Sensing the High Holy Days: Rosh Hashanah
Tuesday, September 16 at 5:30pm EDT
Location:
Zoom
Lead by:
Professor Eve Keller
Join us for a High Holy Day series of three workshops led by Professor Eve Keller, as she leads us in exploring how we connect with the Jewish holidays through our senses. In each session, we'll delve into the rich themes of the Jewish holidays, progressing from renewal and forgiveness to freedom and, finally, joy. We will focus on objects central to our celebration, and how our senses enrich our experience.
Session 2: Rosh Hashanah
Taste: Apples, honey, new fruit – Gratitude
For this session, we encourage all participants to bring a food memory connected to the holiday or any Jewish experience. This may be a memorable meal, dish by a loved one, or something you love to cook!
